Assistant Brewer (Part-time)

High Key Brewing Co. is a craft brewery focused on producing high-quality, flavour-forward beers and innovative beverages. We are committed to consistency, strong processes, and building a great team behind our production.

Position Overview

We are looking for a Brewery Assistant to support day-to-day production operations. This is a hands-on role focused on cleaning, packaging, and general brewery support.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in doing things properly, and is interested in gaining exposure to a commercial brewery environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cleaning and sanitation of tanks, kegs, and production equipment

  • Keg washing and preparation

  • Assisting with packaging (canning line and kegging)

  • Supporting brew days as needed

  • General organization and upkeep of the brewery

  • Moving raw materials and finished product

  • Completing production logs and checklists accurately

  • Following standard operating procedures (SOPs) for cleaning, packaging, and production tasks

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong work ethic and reliability

  • Comfortable with physical, hands-on work (lifting 25kg+)

  • High attention to detail, especially around cleaning and sanitation

  • Ability to follow processes and instructions consistently

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn

  • Interest in brewing or fermentation is an asset

Hours & Schedule

This is a part-time role with hours that vary based on production needs:

  • Summer: More consistent hours (approximately 4–5 days per week)

  • Fall/Winter: Reduced and more flexible hours

Compensation

$18/hour
